NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal Issues Big LeBron James Warning to Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers have a 27-33 record and are simply attempting to make the playoffs after an ugly loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. An NBA insider feels the Los Angeles Lakers should move trade LeBron James and Anthony Davis. During an episode of his podcast, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed the information.

James’ contract with the Lakers expires in 2023, despite the fact that the NBA trade deadline has passed. Some have claimed that trading James would be the quickest and most straightforward method to resolve the team’s disconnection. With a 27-33 record, the Lakers are currently in 9th place in the Western Conference.

Shaquille O’Neal, a four-time NBA champion, gave a harsh warning to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, stating that trading the team’s biggest star, LeBron James, would be a terrible mistake despite the team’s poor season.

“If you trade LeBron, you’ll never win again,” Shaq told CNBC.

“If you put LeBron around the right guys, they are definitely going to win. I think whoever put the team together needs to step up and try and fix it.”

With Kobe Bryant, O’Neal led the Lakers to three titles in his eight seasons with the team.

The Lakers then traded the 7’1 former center to the Miami Heat in 2004. The Lakers should focus on surrounding James with the correct set of players, according to O’Neal, who also works as a TNT Broadcaster.

LeBron James is still putting up regular numbers, but it’s unclear how much longer he’ll be able to do so. He turned 37 in December and is almost certainly nearing the end of his career.

One of the main reasons for fans’ championship aspirations for the Lakers was the arrival of experienced guard Russell Westbrook over the offseason. Instead, chemistry difficulties have dogged L.A. throughout the season.

Aside from that, the Lakers have had to contend with a slew of injuries. Davis is now out of the lineup and is likely to be sidelined for an extended amount of time. For the time being, the Lakers must concentrate on winning games. The decision on whether or not to trade James and Davis should be made in the summer.
