NBA Hall of Fame Isiah Thomas Put Caitlin Clark Above Steph Curry, Faces Fans Backlash

The NBA Hall of Fame Isiah Thomas has come under fire for implying that Steph Curry (NBA) or Sabrina Ionescu (WNBA) are both superior three-point shooters to Caitlin Clark.

Thomas made the audacious remark prior to the Sabrina vs. Steph three-point game during All-Star weekend, even though Clark was paid at the college level and the two athletes she was compared to were elite pros at the pinnacles of their sports (Curry is a four-time NBA champion).

“I’m gonna go with Steph, but I’m gonna say this, neither one of them are the greatest shooters,” Thomas told NBA TV. “Right now, that Caitlin Clark, that’s who I want to see.

“I want to see her in this competition. Bring Caitlin in and let her shoot against both of them. Because 22 in Iowa, she’s the real deal, that’s who should be in this competition.”

Ionescu shot from outside the NBA three-point line, which caused her to lose to Curry in the end by a slim margin of 29–26.

She thus received a lot of recognition for her efforts, despite the fact that some sexist remarks were also made.

Fans respond to the assertion

Thomas was a member of the Detroit Pistons team. Thomas, who is renowned for his extraordinary point-guard abilities, guided the Pistons to two NBA titles in 1989 and 1990. He was elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 and was a twelve-time NBA All-Star.

Nevertheless, despite his skill, Curry continued to draw jeers from supporters who ridiculed the assertion by pointing out that he may be the greatest three-point shooter in history.

A third person stated, “Thomas is mad because Steph is the greatest at his position lmao.”

And a fourth came to an end, “This is Steph and Sabrina’s moment, not for anyone else and it’s mostly for fun. Isiah just sounds like more of a hater.”
