Someone recently made fun of Donte DiVincenzo and Malachi Flynn on the internet by drawing comparisons between the two Knicks players and Luigi and Waluigi. NBA Twitter was amused by the similarity, and Brunson joined in.

Upon witnessing the connection, Brunson hilariously responded with a “omg” tweet. Not only him, though, was laughing.

After joining from the Raptors last month, Malachi looked good in his first rotational minutes on Saturday. Flynn wasn’t shocked to see the DiVincenzo similarities surface on X (formerly Twitter).

“People already said I looked like him in the past,” Malachi said. “As soon I got traded, I knew that was going to happen.”

Still, Flynn wasn’t prepared for the unexpected turn of events in the jokes. Because of his scowled brows and constant lack of smiling, Flynn has earned the nickname “The Evil Donte.”

“People say I look mad, I got to smile more,” Malachi said. “I don’t know what they want from me.”

According to Flynn, the funniest joke was a parody of Super Mario Bros.

DiVincenzo was shown as the happy-go-lucky “Luigi,” whereas Flynn was his villainous parody, “Waluigi.”

“That’s Twitter. Twitter is undefeated,” Flynn said. “Can’t go against Twitter.”
