NBA Debuts In-Season Tournament And The Fans Are Going Crazy

The NBA’s vibrant in-season tournament floors made their much-awaited premiere on Friday night, following their modest unveiling on Monday.

NBA Debuts In-Season Tournament And The Fans Are Going Crazy

The first-ever league-wide competition began on the modified courts on the same day as the Cavaliers and Pacers game in Indiana took place. Although there was a lot of enthusiasm on Day 1 of the tournament, NBA fans continued to disagree on the new-look venues.

All 30 clubs will take part in a tournament during the regular season for the first time ever, and it won’t have an impact on the rankings. But the NBA In-Season Tournament will be held on the worst courts you have ever seen, just so you don’t get confused about which is which.

Every squad has a unique floor, and all of them are painted a colour that no basketball court has any business being.

The strikingly bright courts and their vast assortment of patterns received highly mixed opinions online, just like the initial glimpse four days earlier. While some people tried to make sense of what they were seeing, others were embracing the new trend.

Others brought up issues with particular courts.

JJ Redick, a former NBA player, questioned the Los Angeles Clippers’ trophy placement near half court. The Clippers are yet to win an NBA championship. Not even a conference title has been won by them.

The tournament opens on Friday, and based on early responses, it could take spectators a little longer to get acclimated to the unique flooring for the competition, which finishes in early December.
