NBA free agency is coming up in less than a week, and things are getting crazy. What will happen to the Brooklyn Nets once free agency begins is one of the greatest mysteries of the summer in light of this. It has been said that Kevin Durant would be in a similar situation to Kyrie Irving as the latter is a free agent and his future is uncertain.

Fans are thus Photoshopping players into the uniforms of their preferred clubs and using ESPN’s trade engine. In Brooklyn, things aren’t going so well. Lillard is now firing his shot. On a Saturday Instagram post, the Trail Blazers‘ accurate shooter made a direct appeal to Kevin Durant to visit Portland.

Stephen Curry also recruited Kevin Durant a few years back, who helped them win back-to-back NBA championships. Now the same way Lillard is trying to tease KD as free agency arrives. Not just this, Jusuf Nurkic also shared the picture on his Twitter. Now, Skip Bayless has given his thoughts on the same.

In the unlikely event that Durant becomes available in a trade, is Lillard only recruiting a little? It certainly looks to be. We’ll simply presume that’s what this is until we learn more. It vanished by Saturday night. But Lillard left it up long enough for social media users, including his colleague Jusuf Nurkic, to capture some screenshots.

It’s a proposition that is really exciting from a basketball perspective. Lillard would never have gotten the opportunity to play with Durant, the superstar. The suggested combo would catapult the Blazers into the group of title contenders right away.
