NBA All Star: GloRilla Finally Breaks Silence on Damian Lillard

NBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis saw more than just Damian Lillard shooting shots.

After releasing a picture of herself with the 2024 NBA All-Star Game MVP, rapper GloRilla sent a message to the competition on X early on Monday, expressing interest in the Bucks star.

After seeing GloRilla’s post, others on social media started to comment. Some brought up Lillard’s divorce from his college love, Kay’La.

After spending 11 seasons in Portland, the eight-time NBA All-Star was transferred to the Bucks on October 2, 2023, and less than a week later, he filed for divorce.

Willamette Week of Portland, which at the time was reporting on the petition, said that “irreconcilable differences” were the reason behind “the irremediable breakdown of their marriage.”

The Lillards first met at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, and were married in September of 2021.

Their three children are three-year-old twins, Kali and Kalii, and five-year-old son Damian Jr.

In a recent interview, Lillard, 33, discussed the ups and downs of life with Yahoo Sports.

“We all have stuff we really care about, near and dear to our heart. I’m happy I’m a stable person, I got solid people around me,” he said.

“It’s probably been the hardest transition in my life, all things considered.”

After putting on an incredible show in Sunday’s All-Star Game, where the Eastern Conference defeated the West 211-186, Lillard finished with 39 points and 11 three-pointers.

This past Saturday, the 6-foot-2 guard created another piece of NBA history by becoming the second player to win an All-Star event and then win MVP of the match.
