NBA 2021-22 Season: Top 3 Power Forwards in the League
We are reminded that basketball is a transient sport when the finest NBA players leave the floor following the conclusion of the 2021–22 season. Players who were considered among the finest only a few months ago are no longer in the public eye. But which particular players have made the biggest impressions over the regular season?
Power forwards often position themselves defensively beneath the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in a man-to-man defense while playing ‘offensively’ with their backs to the basket. Rebounding is one of the duties associated with the power forward position. Here we take a look at the top 3 power forwards from the 2021-22 NBA season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks

Since the start of the 2017–18 season, the two-time NBA MVP is averaging 28.4 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. At the still-young age of 27, he earned the NBA Finals MVP award in 2021 and is becoming better all the time. Over time, he’ll rank among the top NBA players. While he couldn’t guide the Bucks to a 2nd straight championship this season, he remained the best power forward in the league.
Kevin Durant – Brooklyn Nets
Despite the Nets having other talents like Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons, Kevin Durant consistently demonstrates why he is one of the best in the world. Sadly, injuries dominated his regular season in 2021–22. One has to question whether Durant’s 33-year-old physique is close to disintegrating. But he still has some peak years left in him and he could guide the Nets to a championship soon.
Jimmy Butler – Chicago Bulls

Jimmy Butler is similar to a good win. With age, the 32-year-old becomes better. A good illustration of such was Miami‘s journey to the Eastern Conference Finals. In the playoffs, Butler significantly improved his performance, averaging 27.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, a league-best 2.1 steals, and 51% shooting. The guard has transformed from being dissatisfied with prior organizations to a respectable team captain for a title contender.
