There is no doubt about it now that he has guided Golden State to its fourth championship in eight years while also winning NBA Finals MVP for the first time. Curry averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc in the Finals matchup with Boston. Set today apart. We had some ideas after watching Doncic lead Dallas to the Western Conference Finals last season. Since LeBron James was making Cleveland relevant in some way years ago, have we ever seen a 22-year-old athlete expected to accomplish so much? Ja Morant elevated the Memphis Grizzlies to a new level in 2021–22 after guiding them to their first postseason appearance since 2017. The former Rookie of the Year averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists on 49 percent shooting as he helped Memphis to the NBA’s second-best record. Morant, who is 22 years old, is undoubtedly one of the top young players in the league.
