‘My Hall of Fame Husband’ Wrote Proud Wife Demi-Leigh On Her Husband Tim Tebow’s Achievement
The person who has supported Tim Tebow the most gave him a Hall of Fame-caliber greeting upon his return to the swamp on Saturday.
Demi-Leigh Tebow honored the former Gators quarterback in a message shared on her Instagram Stories. The former quarterback will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame next month, and the Gainesville, Florida crowd cheered him on.
“Found this jersey in our house & thought this was the perfect night to wear it!” about Tebow’s No. 15 Gators jersey, Demi-Leigh stated.
“I never got to wear your number while you played, but happy to be in the Swamp to cheer you on tonight. That’s my hall of fame husband.”
Under head coach Urban Meyer, Tebow won two national titles with the Gators during his four seasons there in 2006 and 2008.
The 36-year-old Tebow received the 2007 Heisman Trophy.
Tebow made an appearance at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday in conjunction with Florida’s rivalry game with Florida State, a game the former quarterback remembers with nostalgia.
Tebow, who was 4-0 versus the Seminoles while playing quarterback, stated, “Every year growing up, we would watch the game, and if we won, it was — ask my parents — arguably the best day of the year.”

“And if we lost, it was mortifying. I would lose perspective and it felt like the world was ending. I begged them to let me not go to church on Sunday because I couldn’t handle the FSU fans. It was always bigger than a game.”
Regretfully, Tebow and the Gators lost to the No. 5 Seminoles on Saturday, 24–15.
