“My Brother in Christ There Is No Possibility You Wrote This”- Fans React After Antonio Brown Issues a Statement in Support of Kanye West Amidst Recent Controversies

The fall from grace for Antonio Brown has been unreal. The former Steelers man went from being one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and a Super Bowl winner to one of the most hated individuals to have ever stepped foot on the field. Over the past few months, Browns’ antics have angered many people, including the people who trusted the most in him and gave him second chances.

‘AB’ has found himself in some sort of controversy or another almost every week over the past few months. The most recent Antonio Brown controversy involves his close friend and rapper formerly known as Kanye West. Earlier this year, Brown joined Ye’s sports management company Donda Sports which had the likes of Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown on their roster. Over the past few days, Ye’s anti-Semitic comments have forced the likes of GAP, Adidas, and Balenciaga, among others, to cut ties with Ye.

Antonio Brown stands with ‘brother’ Ye

However, Brown released a statement saying that he would continue supporting his brother despite the recent comments and actions. Brown said, “the world’s reactionary and selective outrage at comments in the media made by my brother, Ye, have inflamed and sparked rampant conversation and reflection.”

Obviously Brown’s comments on Ye have not sat well with fans who took to social media to bash Brown for this statement. Here are some of the best fan reactions to the same.

“Translation: AB will remain the President of Donda Sports despite Ye’s recent comments”– said one fan

Another fan said, “Lol, does whoever wrote that know you aren’t going to pay them?”

“read one sentence and knew u didn’t write this”– added another fan

“My brother in Christ there is no possibility you wrote this.”– stated another fan.

“you know it’s bad when Antonio Brown has to come out with a statement”– said another fan

At this point in time, Brown is not signed to a team. And the more time that passes by the less likely it looks like Brown will ever play in the league again given the legal troubles he has been involved in. His stance on Ye might be the final straw for many fans as well as teams alike.
