Fans going gaga over Bryce Harper’s return
The more offence, the merrier, especially after Sunday’s reports that right-hander Corey Knebel won’t pitch again this season due to a ruptured ligament in his right shoulder and right-hander Seranthony Domnguez has been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to inflammation in his right forearm. Knebel has been listed as injured for 60 days. Domnguez’s place in the bullpen was taken by right-hander Tyler Cyr of Triple-A Lehigh Valley, who was promoted to the 40-man roster. Added to the list is Bryce Harper’s injury to the thumb, but with that comes the possibility of Bryce Harper’s return to the match!

Bryce Harper’s return is awaited. It might occur on September 2. Harper, who suffered a left thumb fracture on June 25, stated on Sunday that he hopes to be back by September 1, when the Phillies will be playing six road games in Arizona and San Francisco.
From August 29 through August 31, the Phillies play Arizona. They perform there from September 2 to 4.

Wherever you desire to go and what you want to do should always be your goals, according to Harper. We won’t know till I play, though. We can all discuss when and where, but until I play and experience contact and other similar things, we won’t truly know.
“I’m going to handle it carefully. I’m going to handle it really smartly and return whenever I feel like it and when my hand is feeling better so that I can support this squad every day rather than simply playing two days and taking the next day off. I’m going to return to the game with the highest capacity.
Harper stated that he anticipates starting a bullpen session with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday or Wednesday. The number of games Harper will participate in Lehigh Valley is unknown. For the sake of reference, Jean Segura participated in eight rehab contests with Lehigh Valley before his Aug. 4 comeback from a broken right index finger.
It will be a tactile experience, according to Harper, who added, “I mean, I’m not really sure how it will feel once I make contact, stuff like that. BP and the machine both feel fine, but nothing is certain until you actually play. Harper claimed that since he started taking BP last week, his thumb has responded wonderfully.
I’m much better now, he said. “It gets better the further I use it, and the more I hit.” We appear to be content with our current situation. Simply move forward as you see fit.
Regarding the thumb, Harper estimated that it is currently between 85 and 90 per cent of the thumb. “I guess the [mobility] of it isn’t there is our primary worry, I think. Because of the [mobility] component, that is why I put 85 somewhere in there. However, I believe that power and similar things are present. I hope things will continue to improve as we move on.
The fans are unable to control their excitement about his probable return!
