However, Michael Strahan NFL Hall of Fame has some reservations about Rodgers’ relocation to New York.

Aaron Rodgers will be under the famed New York limelight, and Michael Strahan is curious to see how he handles it. The 51-year-old ex-great of the Giants appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday.

When asked by Fallon if Rodgers would fit in well in New York City, Strahan wasn’t so convinced.

“I don’t know if Aaron Rodgers and the media [will fit],” Strahan said. “The media here is kind of like guilty until proven innocent.

“They don’t like you — you have to make them like you and I think he comes in already off darkness retreat, so they’re gonna be like, ‘You know, this guy …’

“I think they’re gonna probably try to give him a little bit of benefit of the doubt, but they’re looking. So it’s gonna be interesting to see how he handles the media because they can’t be tamed here in New York, they’re tough.”

In recent months, Rodgers’ relationship with the media has been tense. On The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers lambasted the media’s coverage of his upcoming retreat into the shadows and claimed that it “doesn’t know s**t.” During a different appearance on the program, Rodgers told Schefter to “lose my number” when the latter inquired about his future.

“As I read the full quotes from his Schefter and Rapoport-related Pat McAfee weekly appearance, it just made me start to realize that if he is that sensitive that he struggles in New York when people, reporters, opinion-makers, influencers, or whatever, want to talk about him. I don’t know if I want him in New York if this is going to be his reaction to things that don’t matter.”

Not just the media, but Strahan also voiced his misgivings over the deal of Rodgers to the Jets. While acknowledging that the team is “all in” and thinks they can contend, he also questioned whether the Jets will be able to keep Rodgers for longer than a year.

The Jets’ supporters may rest easy knowing that their club is led by a quality quarterback regardless of how long Rodgers is with the team.
