Micah Parsons’ Tweet Is Going Viral, Sets Off Deshaun Watson Memes

Yet though the NFL offseason hasn’t yet begun, Micah Parsons is already a major newsmaker.

It will be a while before anyone other than Deshaun Watson is connected to the word “massage” used by an NFL player. Micah Parsons, a linebacker with the Dallas Cowboys, is picking that up quite quickly.

Micah Parsons’ Tweet Is Going Viral, Sets Off Deshaun Watson Memes

On Saturday, Parsons requested assistance from his 540 000 Twitter followers in locating a “professional massage therapist in Dallas.” As you can expect, the conversation in the comments section rapidly turned negative.

Parsons sent a tweet on Saturday that appeared to be an apparent plea for a massage therapist who could visit him where he now resides and plays:

“I need a professional massage therapist in Dallas!”

This went the wrong direction real quick!

One commenter retorted, “I’m sure there are a ton in Houston.

Another person replied, “That boy Deshaun could prob set you up in Houston if you’re down for a day trip. I know it’s a little out of the way.”

Another responded, “If you want to go to Houston I’m sure Deshaun will connect you up.

The conversation in the comments section rapidly shifted to the past as people talked about the charges Micah Parsons faced when a student. Parsons was involved in a scandal involving hazing and degrading behavior as a student at Penn State, some of which had sexual overtones. At the time, Parsons and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos were among those accused of participating in these actions by freshman safety Isaiah Humphries.

In a statement acknowledging the completion of the inquiry, Penn State emphasized that no charges will be brought against the two football players.

Clearly, one tweet can go in different directions. It’s wise to think things through before tweeting!
