Despite Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, standout linebacker Micah Parsons is pleased with quarterback Dak Prescott’s performance for the Dallas Cowboys.

Micah Parsons Stands With Cowboys QB Dak Prescott: Calls Him A Warrior

“Dak’s a freaking warrior. There were multiple times I was like, ‘That’s Dak Motherf–king Prescott, bro.’ He’s a dog. After the game, Parsons told reporters, “He’s a warrior.” “I got an unbelievable amount of confidence in him… I think people need to put more respect on him. He outplayed everyone today.”

During the 28-23 defeat, Prescott completed 29 of 44 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns. Despite not making any mistakes during the game, he was always under pressure and was sacked five times.

With 6:23 left in the fourth quarter, Prescott hit Jalen Tolbert with a seven-yard touchdown throw to tie the score at 28-23. The Cowboys decided to try for two, and it appeared as though Prescott ran the play to score two points. Replays of the play, however, revealed that Prescott had stepped out of bounds immediately before attempting to reach the end zone.

With seconds remaining, the Cowboys possessed the ball but couldn’t locate the end zone. Dallas now has a 5-3 season record after the setback.

This time, it was evident to everyone that Prescott had performed really well and wasn’t to blame for their loss.

Following the game, former coach Jason Garrett told NBC, “That quarterback in Dallas, Dak Prescott, carried the entire team on his shoulders. He was the one making plays in the big situations, time and time again. Incredible work. An iconic player in the NFC East.

At the end of the game, the Cowboys were still in a position to try for a potential game-winning touchdown. But late penalties, a critical sack, and Prescott’s last pass to CeeDee Lamb missing the end zone proved to be fatal for the squad.

Parsons stated that even though the Cowboys lost, they think they showed they can compete with the current NFC winners.
