Meet Katherine Zhu, Gorgeous Wife Of Star Golfer Collin Morikawa

With the Masters 2024 starting this weekend, Colin Morikawa is anticipating a strong showing.

Following her long-term fiancée Katherine Zhu into marriage, the 27-year-old Open champion of 2021 will be in Augusta to support her spouse as usual.

At this year’s hectic Masters competition, Morikawa will be aiming to win his third major of the career.

Katherine Zhu is the spouse of Collin Morikawa.

Despite attending Zhuji Hailiang Private High School in China, Katherine Zhu attended Vancouver, Canada, where she was born and graduated in 2014.

When she graduated from high school, she relocated to Malibu to attend Pepperdine University and major in international management.

Her mother ran track, while her father, Mike Chu, was an avid tennis player.

She played tennis for a while before focusing on golf.

At the age of 13, she triumphed in her first amateur tennis match.

Along with being a businesswoman, Katherine plays golf.

Her then-fiance and she went to the Augusta National Golf Club’s Par Three Contest in 2022 prior to the Masters.

California University, Berkeley was Collin’s school of choice.

The couple shared a little history of their romance in a PGA Tour video.

Morikawa said: “We met in college and just clicked. It’s crazy because I won my first college tournament that next week and we’ve done pretty good since – it’s really fun.

Zhu acknowledged that their relationship is “very competitive” when they go on a course together, and Morikawa followed up by saying, “We never let each other win.”

“I think she beats me on probably 70 per cent of our chipping competitions. It actually makes me a better player. What’s great about her is that we’re always competing.

“To have her around [on the PGA Tour] on off weeks when no one’s around, she can always bring a wedge to the course and we can always do something fun.”

In April 2017, the power couple in golf began dating.

The following month, Morikawa joked on social media when she shared their first photo together, saying, “Probably not a good idea to take your date to a rooftop when she’s afraid of heights.”

And given Zhu’s enormous fan base, they don’t mind keeping their budding romance in the spotlight.

The brunette has 74,900 Instagram followers as of April 2024, but that number is expected to grow as she continues to wow admirers with her breathtaking selfies and bikini photos.

Zhu spends much of her time either baking goodies or taking care of pets after taking on the role of temporary foster parent this year, based on her Instagram account, when she’s not striking golf balls or grinning for the camera.

Similar to any content pair, Morikawa and Zhu enjoy going on dates.

Whether it’s traveling to new places while he’s competing, winning and dining at upscale restaurants, or, their particular favorite, spending time at the beach.

After becoming engaged in 2021, the couple chose to marry on November 26, 2022, in a grandiose ceremony with their dog Koa by their side.
