In the NBA, Mason Plumlee is a center for the Los Angeles Clippers. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 5, 1990, and grew up around basketball players. His brothers Miles and Marshall each participated in NBA, as did his father, Perky Plumlee, who played basketball for Tennessee Tech. Plumlee excelled as a collegiate basketball player for the Blue Devils at Duke University.
Plumlee was selected to the First Team All-ACC during his senior year and made it all the way to the John R. Wooden Award finals, which recognize the best collegiate basketball player each year. Plumlee was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft after receiving his degree at Duke.
Before being moved to the Portland Trail Blazers in 2015, Plumlee spent two seasons playing for the Brooklyn Nets. He played with the Trail Blazers for two and a half seasons before being moved to the Denver Nuggets in 2017.
