Marv Levy’s Ex-Wife Despises Bill Belichick: “can’t stand him”

Coach Marv Levy of the Buffalo Bills has stated that she despises Bill Belichick for being a “cheater” and “rude,” even though he is without a doubt one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Belichick is seldom in the losing position; his New England Patriots are 2-8 in the NFL, even though the coach has won eight Super Bowls, the most recent of which was in 2018.

Fran sounded in on the beleaguered head coach when Marv, 98, was asked last week whether he would provide any advice to Belichick, whose Patriots fell to 2-8 after a depressing defeat to the Colts on Sunday in Germany.

“I think he should retire. I can’t stand him. He’s a cheater and he was rude to Marv. Bill Belichick was always jealous of Marv. He’s a mean person and I hope he never wins again,” said Fran, who added she “wear[s] my heart on my sleeve.”

Marv said in response, “Don’t quote me on that. I’m not saying that. I’m going to have Fran run some extra wind sprints for saying that!”

Belichick, who is currently 71 years old, is having a poor season, and some have questioned if he will stay in New England.

Levy, who led the Bills from 1986 to 1997 before resigning at the age of 72, advised Belichick to savor the experience while it lasts.

“About a year or two after I left, I felt I’d retired too soon,” Marv said. “I missed coaching. I regretted it and wanted to come back, but I was too old and no one would have hired me. If somebody would have hired me, I would have come sprinting back.”

The New York Giants are their next opponent. After losing to the Dallas Cowboys 49-17 in a landslide, the Giants enter Week 11 still fourth in the NFC East with a 0.200 record.

The Patriots will play their next game on Sunday, November 26. After that, they will have a Week 11 bye.
