Who are the March Madness announcers?

Greg Gumbel in New York and Ernie Johnson in Atlanta will host the studio programmes. Charles Barkley, Clark Kellogg, Kenny Smith, and Wally Szczerbiak will be present with Gumbel. Seth Davis, Jay Wright, and Candace Parker will all be there with Johnson.

While Gene Steratore is back as the rules analyst, Adam Zucker and Adam Lefkoe will also anchor the studios in New York and Atlanta.

Many devoted fans may identify the teams seated courtside among the on-site crews. Below is a list of the tournament broadcast teams that will be on-site.

Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill, Tracy Wolfson

As one of the most well-known play-by-play commentators in sports, Nantz leads this group. Nantz will host his final Final Four this year, which will take place in Houston, Texas, where his career began, for the 32nd time. Bill Raftery, his longtime colleague, joins him. He has worked for CBS since 1983. Raftery, 79, is well-known for calling out “ONIONS!” during broadcasts.

Grant Hill, a forward who is a member of the NBA Hall of Fame, will also offer insight, as he has done since joining the NCAA college basketball broadcasts in 2015. Tracy Wolfson, well-known for her work as the NFL’s sideline reporter for CBS, will go from the field to the court.

Jim Jackson, Brian Anderson, and Allie LaForce

Since 2007, Brian Anderson has served as the Milwaukee Brewers’ announcer for MLB, and since 2008, he has worked nationally for Turner Sports. Jim Jackson, who has been calling games since 2007 after a 14-year NBA career, is with him. Ohio University graduate Allie LaForce is a sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT. She also played basketball in college.

Ian Eagle, Jim Spanarkel, Evan Washburn

In addition to his job as the Brooklyn Nets announcer since 1995, Eagle joined CBS in 1998 as a play-by-play announcer for college basketball and the NFL on CBS. Jim Spanarkel, a former teammate from the Nets on YES, and Evan Washburn, an NFL sideline reporter for Eagle’s, are his partners in this venture.

Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Stan Van Gundy, Lauren Shehadi

Kevin Harlan, one of the most entertaining voices in sports, can make any minor information sound significant, even individuals streaking while intoxicated during an NFL game. In 1991, Dan Bonner began broadcasting NCAA Tournament games. He will offer commentary with former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy. Although Lauren Shehadi has been covering tournament events since 2021, she is arguably best recognised for her work as an MLB Network anchor and reporter.

Lisa Byington, Steve Smith, Avery Johnson, Andy Katz

As a play-by-play announcer for CBS and Turner Sports’ NCAA Tournament games, Lisa Byington made history as the first female to do so. She currently does the same duties for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA. Steve Smith, a former NBA NBA player, and former NBA coach Avery Johnson will provide analysis. Big Ten Network college basketball analyst Andy Katz will report from the sidelines.

Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas, Jaime Erdahl

For another tournament run, NFL on CBS announcer Andrew Catalon will be joined by analyst Steve Lappas, who has held the position since 2015. Jaime Erdahl, who last year left her position as the primary sideline reporter for the SEC on CBS to work for NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” will rejoin this group on the court.

Spero Dedes, Deb Antonelli, AJ Ross

Spero Dedes, a CBS commentator for the NBA, NFL, and college basketball since 2009, began announcing NCAA Tournament games in 2010. He collaborates with Deb Antonelli, who has been the voice of women’s college basketball since 2003 and the voice of men’s tournament games since 2017. AJ Ross will keep watch on the sidelines, as she has done for the NFL on CBS since 2018.

Brad Nessler, Brendan Haywood, Dana Jacobson

College sports fans will recognize Brad Nessler for his work as the lead play-by-play announcer for SEC football games — a role he’s had since 2017. In 2018, Nessler called his first NCAA Tournament games. Sitting next to Nessler will be former NBA big man Brendan Haywood — with Dana Jacobson reports
