LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson juggles basketball fame with her burgeoning rap career

Player Flau’jae Johnson of LSU women’s basketball is sticking with it.

In addition to being a full-time student, an NCAA champion, and a rapper, the 20-year-old guard is one of the faces of the NIL era and is supposedly worth millions of dollars.

While acknowledging that her success in Baton Rouge is a result of having “beaten the odds” in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, Johnson told The Post that she maintains her modesty despite the unbelievable circumstances.

“My mom [and manager Kia Brooks] raised me and that just made me who I was,” In the run-up to March Madness 2024, Johnson spoke with The Post about the sponsorship deal she has with Powerade.

“The whole city is like a dog eat dog. You gotta be one of the ones to come out of there and really make something of yourself. My mom really just took care of me and my brothers and did her best for us to make it out of there and she did an amazing job and was blessed to have it.”
