LSU Star Basketball Angel Reese Requested Fans To Show Her Respect

The star of the LSU Tigers, Angel Reese, accepted responsibility for the loss on Twitter following the team’s loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks, but she also begged for respect from the public, citing her status as a “dawg.”

In the closing moments of Thursday night’s upset to South Carolina, Reese, 21, fouled out, maintaining the team’s unbeaten record. The Tigers star made sure to include her “girls” in the touching post.

“I’m a DAWG. Respect me. This game was on me but I’m rocking with my girls day in & day out! GEAUX TIGERS!” Angel Reese wrote on her X (Twitter).

What will happen to Angel Reese next?

At Humphrey Coliseum on Monday, Reese and LSU will try to bounce back from their defeat against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Reese was the highest-ranked recruit in school history when she signed with the Maryland Terrapins, but a fractured right foot ended her first campaign in 2020–21. As a sophomore, she was selected by the Associated Press to the third team of All-America.

Reese transferred to LSU for her junior year and was selected unanimously to the first team of All-America players. Being named Most Outstanding Player, she guided LSU to its first-ever national championship. Reese broke the records for the most double-doubles in an NCAA season and the most rebounds in an SEC season.
