LSU Star Angel Reese ‘Throttles’ Missouri’s Hayley Frank During Controversial NCAA Win

In the Louisiana State University Tigers’ most recent victory over the Missouri Tigers, Angel Reese made headlines once more when it was observed that she had purposely fouled Hayley Frank.

Reese’s squad won 92-72 in their most recent game of the NCAA season, which was also their SEC opening. They did it mostly because of an especially strong third quarter in which they scored 15 of their 20-point victory margin.

But Reese’s foul on Frank at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge overshadowed the game. She was suspended in the latter part of 2023 and faced backlash for her behavior against an opponent in a 2022 championship game. This was not Reese’s first issue.

After scoring, the Missouri players were preparing to defend their own basket when Reese and Frank collided with about 01:20 remaining in the first quarter. A review of the video indicates that it was the exact reverse of what was initially believed to be inadvertent.

It seems as though Reese is headed directly for Frank, running into her, sending the Missouri player flying onto the court, cutting her chin open, and forcing her to leave the game for a short while to need medical attention.

It was not the last incident that would test Reese’s resolve; for reasons that were unclear, Frank was the focus of another apparent intimate exchange.

The second incident occurred during the third quarter as LSU scored to increase their lead to eleven points. Reese dragged Frank to the court floor once more, hooking her around the neck and collarbone as Mikaylah Williams took her shot.

She was called for an intentional foul this time, but LSU head coach Kim Mulkey was not happy with the call and accused Frank of diving by yelling “Flop” at her.

Ultimately, after losing the first game of the season, LSU emerged victorious in their 14th out of 15 games played in the 2023–24 NCAA season. We’ll have to wait and watch if Angel Reese makes the headlines once more before their next game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
