LSU Gymnast Aleah Finnegan Made Her Way To The Paris Olympics

Aleah Finnegan, a gymnast, has realized her Olympic dream.

The 20-year-old LSU gymnast who is Olivia Dunne’s teammate has declared that she will compete for the Philippines at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Tuesday in Antwerp, Belgium, Finnegan competed in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

She was one of the 14 athletes with the best eligible ranking who qualified for the Paris Games in the women’s all-around competition.

Aleah placed 32 in the all-around qualification, but she was fifth among athletes who qualified for Paris, earning her a ticket.

The LSU gymnast informed her 57,000 Instagram followers of the news.

Finnegan visited London, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and other countries during the summer as a vacation stop.

On behalf of the Philippines, she competed in the 2023 Asian Championships.

For LSU, Finnegan had an outstanding sophomore year the previous year, earning All-American and All-SEC recognition.
