Logan Paul Defends His “Prime” Energy Drink Against FDA Probe

Sen. Charles Schumer requested on Sunday that the Food and Drug Administration look into PRIME, a beverage company started by YouTube personalities Logan Paul and KSI that has grown to the point of obsession among the influencers’ large and growing fan bases.

Two well-known YouTube personalities supported the highly regarded energy drink PRIME, which caused a stir when it was first introduced last year. It stands apart in the expanding sea of energy drinks because to its marketing that touts zero sugar and veganism. containing 200 mg of caffeine per 12 ounces, which is about comparable to six cans of Coke or two Red Bulls.

Pediatricians expressed worry about potential health hazards, particularly for young children, including cardiac troubles, anxiety, and stomach disorders. Precautions were taken as a result of these worries to shield the kids from the effects of the beverage.

The quantity of caffeine in PRIME’s energy drinks is defended, and the company emphasizes that it is “not made for anyone under the age of 18.”

“PRIME Energy, sold in a can, dropped in 2023 and contains a comparable amount of caffeine to other top selling energy drinks, all falling within the legal limit of the countries it’s sold in,” a brand spokesman said. “It complied with all FDA guidelines before hitting the market and states clearly on packaging, as well as in marketing materials, that it is an energy drink and is not made for anyone under the age of 18.”

The statement continued: “As a brand, our top priority is consumer safety, so we welcome discussions with the FDA or any other organization regarding suggested industry changes they feel are necessary in order to protect consumers.”
