Whatever your opinion of LIV and its supporters, this weekend should provide some enjoyable golf. Every day is expected to be bright and 86 degrees, and the field will be filled with A-list athletes like Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith, and Brooks Koepka. The prize money won’t be terrible either; the 2023 LIV tour’s total prize pool has grown by 63 percent to $405 million, and the tour schedule has been expanded from eight events to 14. That’s quite a way to make a splash for LIV’s inaugural event in Latin America.

LIV Golf Mexico: Best Bet
Dustin Johnson (+800)
Yes, it’s chalky, but as we have discovered time and time again this betting year, betting chalk typically results in winning. Johnson continues to be among the finest golfers in the world, and his stellar 2022 was highlighted by several event victories and a special blend of driving power and precision. His biggest victory was the individual title from the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which came with a massive $18 million prize. The player is head and shoulders above the rest of the LIV player pool and never appears to feel any pressure.

DJ starts to talk about a new clothing sponsorship for @4AcesGC_ but quickly stopped himself. If it’s not obvious yet, brands are interested in being represented by #LIVGolf Teams.

LIV Golf Mexico: Top value bet
Carlos Ortiz (+3300)
Ortiz, a native of Guadalajara, has a lot of experience performing as El Camaleón. He last participated in the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in 2021, placing second with a score of -19. He possesses the necessary course expertise, driving precision, and green-reading abilities to emerge from this weekend as the first LIV champion of 2023.

LIV Golf Mexico: Best sleeper
Branden Grace (+3500)
The year after shooting a final-round 65 to win LIV’s first tournament in Portland, wouldn’t it be interesting if Grace won the first LIV competition of 2023? Well, stranger things have occurred. During his professional career, Grace has been a fairway-hitting monster, and a short glance at his highlight reel demonstrates just how dominant he can be when in rhythm. Grace has incredible accuracy. He had a lot of victories in warm climates, notably the Puerto Rico Open in 2021, which he won with an eagle-birdie finish. We believe Grace has sufficient talent to make a splash at this tournament once more, and he would at the very least look for a top-20 prop bearing his name.

What is the LIV Mexico purse?
The 2023 LIV tour’s overall prize pool increased by 63 percent to $405 million as the schedule increased from eight to fourteen tournaments.
Each LIV Golf competition will feature a $25 million purse, with $20 million going to the individual competition and $5 million going to the team competition. The winning team will receive $3 million ($750,000 each participant), while the solo champion would receive $4 million. So, the top player on the top team in a certain LIV Golf competition would earn $4.75 million for that particular competition.
LIV also offers 11 overseas series with $5 million prizes each.
The 2023 #LIVGolf schedule will have 14 events in seven countries with $405 million in prize purses doubling the number of events from its inaugural season last year.
The season begins on 24 Feb in Mexico and ends in the first week of November in Saudi Arabia.
