A few years ago, it appeared as though Under Armour was ready to compete with Nike in the sales of footwear and clothing. Up to the end of August 2015, the company had sales of $1.2 billion, beating Adidas in the process. The company’s acquisition of Stephen Curry from rivals Nike and subsequent observation of the Warriors guard’s quick ascension to a championship, which boosted sales of his Under Armour Curry 2 shoe, contributed to the increase in sales.
In 2013, Steph Curry had a breakout season while his 1st contract as a Nike athlete was up for renewal.
He left for Under Armour and since won 2 MVPs and 3 NBA titles.

However, they were unable to maintain that trend, and in recent years, sales began to decline.
This hasn’t stopped the business from continuing to sign NBA players and providing them with a more intimate relationship experience than they may receive at either Nike or Adidas.

Only the top two athletes on Under Armour’s roster have signature sneakers, as would be expected.
Curry’s line is currently in its tenth generation, while Embiid unveiled the Embiid One in 2020. There have been leaks of a sneaker that was meant to be the Embiid Two but was never made available in stores.
Curry’s initial contract with Under Armour dates back to 2013, therefore the company will celebrate a decade of service in 2023.

The Curry Brand is what?
According to legend, one of the reasons Curry departed Nike in 2013 was partly because he felt undervalued in contrast to some other athletes on the Nike roster. There may also have been a problem with a PowerPoint presentation.
Since that time, both sides have benefited from their collaboration with Under Armour. Curry was even given the Michael Jordan treatment by the corporation in 2020 when he received his own section.
