Although Lil Wayne is a strong force in the music industry, he has become rather contentious in the basketball world in recent months. This is in response to remarks he made about Anthony Davis’s play with the Lakers in the previous season.

Before anybody could forget those remarks, the rapper tweeted about how the Lakers had treated them unfairly as a result of his earlier remarks.

The Grammy-winning rapper said on X that he “got treated like s–t” throughout the game and conjectured that this could have happened as a result of his criticism of Anthony Davis.

Wayne brought up Davis in regard to something he said in an Undisputed episode from November 2023. Wayne declared his admiration for the Los Angeles club right away as he started the conversation, but he then added, “If you ask me, if the Lakers want to be a championship team and in the future as well, you gotta get rid of AD.”

Asked why he felt that way, Wayne shot back: “Because he’s AD, plain and simple…Get rid of him and get some good players,” he continued. “We don’t even need a superstar. We got Lebron over there.”

In an attack on the team, the rapper said he was “treated like sh-t” during Thursday night’s game against the Washington Wizards in a post on X. Although Weezy remained silent about the specifics of his mistreatment, he conjectured that it could have something to do with his earlier criticism of Lakers center Anthony Davis.

“Wow! Got treated like sh-t at the Laker game just now but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either [because] of what I said [about] AD or simply [because] they don’t [f-ck with me],” Lil Wayne wrote. “I been got that vibe from ‘em as well so all good I get it. F-ck ’em. It isn’t what it isn’t. I’m used to it.”

Lil Wayne and the Lakers don’t seem to get along very well, but the squad seems to be turning the turnaround. They are now in ninth position in the Western Conference rankings after winning nine of their previous twelve games.
