Paul Heyman feels LeBron James would not be recognized outside the United States
Paul Heyman asserted during an interview on The Masked Man Show with Kaz that he thinks WWE Superstars are more well-liked throughout the world than athletes like LeBron James.
“If LeBron James walks down the street in Paris or Rome, he could pretty much not get (bothered), it would be like Justin Bieber walking down the street. It would be like, Oh my God, it’s LeBron James” Heyman said. “The biggest sports stars in America can go elsewhere and not get that much bothered. That doesn’t exist with WWE superstars. They work everywhere, we are everywhere.”
Heyman acknowledged that in the US, the NBA, NFL, and UFC are more well-known than WWE. However, outside of North American material, WWE outperforms them. He said that the worldwide reach of the wrestling promotion was both incredibly under-reported and under-appreciated.
