His wife Frida Chavez called the police on October 24, 2023, believing he had taken too many drugs. Following California’s 5150 legislation, responders determined that Chavez Jr. presented a risk to himself or others and that he required mental care for a maximum of 72 hours.

If someone is judged to be a threat, the law permits authorities, such as police officers and physicians, to detain them for examination, assessment, and crisis intervention. Chavez Jr.’s family, particularly his father Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., has expressed concern about his health and well-being despite his successful boxing career.

God bless you, son. May God grant you a ray of light and stop talking so much bullshit, please”.
