LeBron James’ Son Bronny James Narrowed Down His School Choice To Either USC Or Oregon

According to rumours, Bronny James has down his list of potential colleges to Oregon, USC, or Ohio State and will decide between those schools in late February or early March.

LeBron James’ Son Bronny James Narrowed Down His School Choice To Either USC Or Oregon

James, the oldest son of NBA legend LeBron, has played high school basketball at Sierra Canyon for three and a half years. Sierra Canyon is now 18-4 and in first place in its division.

A difficult idea that would probably put most young players off their game is that the 18-year-old combo guard is following in the biggest conceivable footsteps, but Bronny does not seem to be phased by the family name.

“USC and Oregon are 50/50. I get why Ohio State was listed among the finalists, but the Buckeyes aren’t getting him,” CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander reported Wednesday when giving his take on Bronny’s recruitment.

There’s also the chance the young guard could take his talents to the G League or overseas, but those options seem to be less likely.

Luca Evans reported that James is expected to make his decision after his season is over, and there are three schools currently considered as the most likely destinations ( via LA Times):

“According to a person with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly, James will make a decision on his college commitment after the season, and his top three schools are Ohio State – his father’s favorite – USC and Oregon. LeBron James, 38, recently doubled down on previous remarks that he wants to finish his NBA career playing with his son.”

According to Cerebro Sports, he was one of the most important defensive players. James would be “in strong consideration” to be selected in the first round of an NBA mock draught for 2024, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, who compared him to De’Anthony Melton (a comparison we have also made before).

However, we are still unsure of James’ plans beyond his senior year of high school. On the 2023 ESPN 100 recruiting database, James is currently the second-rated recruit (behind only Matas Buzelis) who has not yet committed to a college.
