LeBron James’ Lakers Have Lost Yet Again Even Without Playing as They Accomplish 65-Year-Old Feat

With a 0-5 record, the LA Lakers are off to a poor start in the 2022–23 NBA season. Even though they didn’t play on Saturday, LeBron James and company still had a poor night since other teams’ performances made them the worst team in the league. After losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, Los Angeles is at 0-5 for the year, while Sacramento is currently 1-4. The Purple and Gold have fallen to the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Denver Nuggets in addition to their defeat against Minnesota on Friday.

The blockbuster deal for Russell Westbrook before the 2021–22 season caused the Lakers, who had one of the NBA’s worst squads, to start losing.

NBA Rumors: Russell Westbrook To Retire? Is This His Final Season In NBA?

LeBron James led Lakers are the only winless team in the NBA

Only the Los Angeles Lakers are this season’s only NBA club without a victory. On Saturday, the Sacramento Kings defeated the Miami Heat 119-113 to earn their first victory of the year. As a result, LeBron James and company are the last remaining winless team.

The Lakers have a season record of 0–5. They will be the final team to win for just the second time in franchise history; the first time was in 1957–1958 when there were only eight teams.

Although Westbrook has received a lot of criticism for Los Angeles’ problems this season, there are several factors that have nothing to do with the team’s 0-5 start. The 33-year-old has had a terrible season, scoring 12.3 points, grabbing 7.0 rebounds, and dishing out 4.0 assists while shooting only 30.9 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from beyond the arc.

If they lose once more, they would have a 0-6 record, which would be the worst start for a team since the 2018–19 Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a difficult first season without LeBron James. This is the first time in LeBron James’ career that he has played for the team that lost a game.
