LeBron James Has Full Faith In Bronny’s Skills, Believes He Is Ready To Play For Lakers Right Now

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have had a difficult few weeks as a result of a recent slump that has dropped the club to the No. 11 spot in the Western Conference of the NBA.

After the Lakers’ fourth straight defeat on Friday, James was understandably unhappy during the Friday media conference. However, he briefly brightened up when teammate Austin Reaves inquired about his son Bronny’s impending USC game against Stanford on Saturday.

James stated that he believes his son Bronny could play for the Lakers amid their current four-game losing run.

James, 39, made the statement during the Lakers’ 127-113 loss to the Grizzlies on Friday night, which was the team’s tenth defeat in their previous 13 games.

LeBron stated, “I’m not thinking that far back in the past,” according to The Guardian, following the game. “It was just two games. We suck right now.”

The Lakers great continued, saying that his teenage kid, an 18-year-old freshman from USC, could start for the Lakers right away and make a difference for the club.

“He could play for us right now. Easy. EASY,” he said.

The older James’s suggestion that Bronny might start for the Lakers given their present situation may be seen as a subtle jab at his teammates or as a tribute to his kid.

But seriously, James is probably just pleading with USC to allow his son to take a full workload, as Bronny has been on a minutes limit since suffering a heart attack back in July.

The school where Bronny James attends has taken his comeback very seriously; they don’t want to be held accountable for a public relations calamity. The doctors say Bronny is good to play, but he should go cautiously at first to evaluate how intense exercise affects his heart.

James has stated unequivocally that he wants to compete in the NBA with Bronny and their younger kid Bryce. Perhaps this is a not-so-subtle suggestion to the Lakers to come to a similar agreement soon.

Throughout the course of the Trojans’ six games this season, Bronny James has averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in 16.8 minutes of play.
