In the most recent episode of The Shop, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James told the Thursday Night Football Tonight panel that he feels Travis Kelce has surpassed him in fame, becoming the “most famous man” in North East Ohio. This heartfelt tribute to the NFL great occurred right before the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos.

Travis Kelce is riding high in the year 2023. Kelce, according to LeBron James, has not only eclipsed him in North East Ohio prominence, but he has also earned the basketball legend’s adoration. This adoration emerged only nine days after James announced his intention to participate in Kelce’s New Heights program.

“Listen, sometimes you’ve gotta give the crown up to the next one,” James remarked during the Chiefs’ Week 6 triumph over the Broncos on Thursday Night Football at The Shop. “With what Trav has going on right now, and the Swifties, I think I’m going to give him the crown right now.” He certainly deserves it right now.”

Both James and Kelce grew up in Ohio, and James became a local hero after spending 11 seasons with the Cavaliers over two stints, culminating in the team’s first-ever title in 2016.

Kelce’s relationship with Swift has captivated the NFL and celebrity worlds, and the pop sensation was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium for Thursday night’s game, which Kansas City won.
