Las Vegas Raiders Superstar Derek Carr Gives Expensive Farewell Gifts in Diamond Pendants
Las Vegas is getting rid of Derek Carr. At this point, the question is not whether but when. The only questions are when and how. The nine-year quarterback of the Raiders said his final farewells on Thursday after the team that selected him in the 2014 draught benched him for the final two games of the year in an apparent effort to prevent injury, which would have guaranteed his $33 million contract for the next season. When Derek Carr bids the Oakland Raiders farewell, he does so in style.
Following rumors that the Raiders were considering trade for him, the longtime quarterback for the Las Vegas franchise made his departure official on Twitter on Tuesday. Carr, 31, has been a member of the Raiders since they selected him in the 2014 NFL Draft. He described his nine-year tenure as “a roller coaster.”

Derek Carr gives an expensive gift to his teammates
Before he went permanently, he had some farewell gifts to present to a few of his teammates. The former Raiders quarterback gave Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams necklaces in black and white diamonds with their corresponding jersey numbers. The quarterback ordered pendants with the players’ numbers — No. 17 and No. 98 — set in black and white diamonds from jeweler Al Bekdas, commonly known as Al the Jeweler.

Bekdas has already collaborated with Stefon Diggs, Melvin Ingram, Breece Hall, Carr, and his teammates, to mention a few. The New Jersey-based designer, for whom jewelry is more than just a business, was pleased to provide another significant item.

Prior to Week 17, head coach Josh McDaniels benched Derek Carr to give Jarrett Stidham an opportunity to start at quarterback. By scoring three touchdowns against the scorching San Francisco 49ers, the former New England Patriots quarterback effectively ended Carr’s career.
