Las Vegas Raiders’ Josh Jacobs RB: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Josh Jacobs is a quality No. 2 Fantasy running back heading into the season in all leagues, and he should be selected in Round 4 in all formats. Jacobs has a solid floor because he has scored at least 14.7 PPR points per game on average over the past three seasons. Each season of his career has seen him score at least seven touchdowns and accumulate at least 1,100 total yards.

In 15 games in 2020, Josh Jacobs played 306 touches for Las Vegas. Despite having an 11.4 percent smaller window of opportunity in 2021, he still achieved 1,120 total yards and nine touchdowns on 271 touches. Additionally, he recorded career-highs in catches (54) and receiving yards (348).

But only four times did Jacobs gain 20 yards or more. He also only gained 4.0 yards per carry and 6.4 yards per reception, on average (only eight plays over his past 577 chances).

We hope Derek Carr keeps using him in the passing game after he established a new career best in catches in 2021 with 54 on 64 targets. However, the Raiders’ attack ought to be stronger, and Jacobs could have more opportunities to score than ever before. Jacobs should once again be a solid Fantasy option in all formats if this is the season he surpasses 16.0 PPR points per game.

Josh is currently under contract since the Raiders chose not to pick up his fifth-year option, so prospective fantasy managers should be aware of this fact. He is ranked 22nd at running back in the NFFC during the early draft season and has an ADP of 45.
