Larsa Pippen And Marcus Jordan Discussed The Spanish K*ss*ng Incident On Their Podcast

The Spanish soccer federation Luis Rubiales planting a kiss on player Jenni Hermoso has upset the sports world like no other kiss since Morganna, The Kissing Bandit retired after a long career of interfering with athletic events. Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan, a power couple, shared their opinions because everyone has one, and since they are everyone, they are entitled to one.

And things started to heat up.

The Rubiales event was discussed by the two on their podcast Separation Anxiety (I know we’re all regular listeners).

The event, which Hermoso claimed to be a sexual assault, led to Rubiales’ suspension by FIFA.

In any case, Pippen started things off with her much-awaited assessment of the circumstances.

“Latins are huggers and kissers, but grabbing her face and kissing her on the lips is so inappropriate, so off limits, so wrong,”  According to the Daily Mail, Larsa Pippen said. “I feel like a lot of times women are put in situations where you feel like this person is powerful and you don’t have a voice. She probably didn’t know what to do, everybody is looking.”

Marcus made the decision to leave this specific ball in the air.

“Also, playing devil’s advocate here and not necessarily vouching for him,” Jordan remarked, using a wind-up to indicate that he is about to say something that his wife probably wouldn’t appreciate. “It is their first championship they have ever won.”

I believe I understand what he is saying, but it doesn’t really make sense. After they won their first championship in 1991, I’m very sure his dad never planted one on Larsa’s ex-husband.

Larsa Pippen disapproved of Marcus Jordan’s attempt to play the role of the Devil’s Advocate.

“Oh my god, what does that mean?” Pippen said.

“You know how excited sometimes people get when they win their first championship,” Jordan said. “And so, you know, I don’t think he was necessarily aware of what he was doing.”

Marcus ought to have done one of two things at this point: either poured water on their recorder, or feigned to have terrible diarrhea. Anything to put a stop to the podcast and leave this discussion unscathed.

That was not what he did.

“But like you said,” Marcus redirected it back onto her, which wasn’t a bad move.

“In different cultures, it is more common that you kiss on the lips.”

“Kissing on the cheek.’ Pippen said. ‘What culture is that? A perverted culture, by the way.”

“I’ve seen it. I feel like in this case, with the team winning the very first championship – I feel that in the past I’ve seen male coaches kissing male athletes.”

Jordan eventually kind of gave up and agreed with Pippen that what Rubiales had done was incorrect after some more back and forth.

“He still got suspended. It’s a very slippery slope man. Don’t kiss anybody, put your hands on anybody, stay in your lane.”
