South Korean Actress Jeon Jong-Seo Dazzled As Dodgers’ First-Pitch Star
Prior to the start of the MLB season in March 2024, the Dodgers created news.
On March 17, 2024, before the Dodgers’ Seoul Series game against the Kiwoom Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome began, South Korean actress Jeon Jong-seo threw out the first pitch, leaving the team members in awe.
According to a now-famous video that went viral online, the 29-year-old was wearing a Dodgers jersey on the mound while everybody in the dugout, including first baseman Freddie Freeman and pitcher Tyler Glasnow, watched.

The Hollywood Reporter interviewed “Burning” director Lee Chang-dong in December 2018 and he talked about his collaboration with the rookie.
“She’s actually a new actor, and this was her first audition. When I saw her, she seemed to have this very childlike sense of innocence, but at the same time, she carried this sense of duality — as if something much bigger was on the other side of that innocence,” Speaking of Jong-seo, who portrayed Shin Hae-mi in the suspenseful film, he stated.

Jong-seo received nominations for the Asian Film Awards’ Best Newcomer and the Seoul Awards’ Best New Actress.
She was also named one of the 15 International Breakout Talents of 2018 by The Hollywood Reporter Critics.

After “Burning,” Jong-seo kept taking on new projects. Most notably, she was praised by critics for her performance in the 2020 Netflix feature “The Call.”

She was awarded Best Actress at the 2021 Buk Film Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in “The Call.” The same nomination was given to her for the 2022 Director’s Cut Awards as well.
The most recent Netflix movies that Jong-seo starred in were “Ballerina” in 2023 and “Wedding Impossible” in 2024.

When Jong-seo showed up to a Dodgers exhibition game in March 2024, it caused a stir on the internet. X user @DecoOhtani17 shared the scene on their page and went on to receive over 5 million views.
The Dodgers proceeded to triumph over the Kiwoom Heroes, winning 14-3.
