Know About All-Female Driver Series 2023: F1 Academy
The W Series, an all-female championship that is trying to return for a fourth season next year after having its 2022 campaign cut short due to financial concerns, will compete alongside the new series beginning in 2023, according to F1.
It is envisaged that the F1 Academy would improve future prospects for Formula 2 and Formula 1 by enabling a woman to advance fast into Formula 3.
Lella Lombardi, who competed in F1 for the final time in 1976, was a female.

How are the cars in F1 Academy designed?
The FIA has recently announced the specifications of the cars that female drivers will use during the upcoming F1 Academy series in 2023.
In a short statement they explained that, “the drivers will be getting behind the wheel of Tatuus T421 chassis, with Autotecnica supplying turbocharged engines that will deliver 165 horsepower.”
Five teams, each with three cars, will compete in the F1 Academy. These teams will be current F2 and F3 teams. The first season will feature at least one F1 racing weekend and 21 races, including seven three-race weekends.

All drivers will race in the same Formula 4 chassis, similar to the W Series.
Each car will get cash from F1 in the amount of €150,000 (£130,000), which drivers must match in order to compete. According to them, that represents “a fraction of the regular fees to enter comparable series,” and the teams will cover the remaining expenses.
What are the rules in F1 Academy?
Even though the brand-new F1 Academy was first unveiled in the middle of November 2022, very little is yet known regarding the scoring methodology.
Five teams will enter three distinct vehicles for the 21 events that have been scheduled, as was previously reported.
