Kevin Porter Jr. Is Maybe Not Guilty Of What He Has Assaulted Of

When allegations of domestic violence against his girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick, surfaced, Kevin Porter Jr. found himself in hot water. According to accounts, the NBA player left his fiancée with a severe cut above her right eye and a cracked neck vertebra. He is defending himself against third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, and second-degree criminal assault accusations.

However, as additional information about the alleged attack has come to light, a significant twist has surfaced. Gondrezick’s injuries were examined forensically, and it was discovered that her congenital disease was initially mistaken for a shattered vertebra. The forensic reports indicate that it is doubtful that her altercation with Porter Jr. was the cause of this.

The District Attorney’s office has admitted that Porter Jr.’s conduct did not cause Gondrezick to suffer a shattered vertebra, according to Priscilla DeGregory of the New York Post. Following the disclosure of this crucial information, the Rockets guard and his legal team have now requested that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office dismiss the second-degree felony assault charges.

According to the evidence presented by the prosecution, Porter Jr. is accused of “repeatedly” hitting her partner and violently “squeezing her neck”, which left the victim in excruciating pain and unable to breathe. Kysre would have most certainly suffered a fractured jaw or another similar injury if Porter Jr. had actually punched her, according to the defense team for the Rockets’ guard.

The Rockets are making an effort to find a replacement for Kevin Porter Jr.

The Houston Rockets have put the guard on the trade market because Kevin Porter Jr. is involved in legal issues. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the team is looking to transfer their guard after he was detained and charged with felony assault and strangulation of his girlfriend.

Porter is under a four-year, $82.5 million contract with a $15.9 million guaranteed for the 2023–24 season. The Rockets have contacted a number of teams, providing draft picks as an inducement to sign Porter.

Porter’s deal will be used by the Rockets front staff to sign a player who can help the team right now and enhance it. But it seems exceedingly unlikely that any team would be open to such a trade given Porter Jr.’s current legal troubles.
