“Keep the Name Out of Your Mouth, There’s Levels”- Jon Jones Slams ‘Quitter’ Francis Ngannou and ‘Elsa’ Israel Adesanya on Twitter
When it comes to UFC champion resumes, it does not get any better than Jon Jones. ‘Bones’ ruled the light heavyweight division for the better part of a decade and faced one future hall of fame fighter after another and secured dominant wins over each of them. After defending his 205-pound belt a mind-boggling 11 times, Jones decided it was time to move up in weight.
As he prepares for his heavyweight debut, Jones has ignited a feud with Israel Adesanya, the middleweight champion. The two men used to frequently troll each other on Twitter last year. After Adesanya’s recent performance against Cannonier, Jones took to Twitter to criticize his foe, his painted nails as well as his performance. Jones’ criticism of Adesanya was not something that sat well with Ngannou who took to Twitter to hit out at Jones for being inactive for two years.
look at Francis over there defending Elsa, how cute. I could takeoff two more years and you guys work combined won’t match what I’ve done in that octagon. #Facts

‘Bones’ killed two birds with one stone with his recent tweets. He said, “look at Francis over there defending Elsa, how cute. I could takeoff two more years and you guys work combined won’t match what I’ve done in that octagon. #Facts.”
I’m really not impressed with you or your boy, I’ve seen you quit multiple times. And your boy almost got flat lined the last time he faced Alex. Both of you guys win your next fights, then I’ll be impressed. Until then, keep the name out of your mouth, there’s levels.

Jones continued, “I’m really not impressed with you or your boy, I’ve seen you quit multiple times. And your boy almost got flat lined the last time he faced Alex. Both of you guys win your next fights, then I’ll be impressed. Until then, keep the name out of your mouth, there’s levels.”
Jon Jones set to return this year?
According to reports, Jones’ return fight will be against Stipe Miocic later this year. The two men were set to be booked for a fight during international fighter week, however, Miocic was not able to make it on that date.
The current rumor is that a fight between Miocic and Jones for the interim heavyweight title will take place in September this year. And the winner will then take on Francis Ngannou provided he signs a new contract with the UFC.
