Coach Jon Gruden is back in football three years after leaving the Las Vegas Raiders. The European League of Football’s Milano Seamen announced on Monday that Gruden will continue to serve as an advisor.

In a post on X, the Seamen organization announced that Gruden has already begun meeting with its coaching staff. The post included a photo of the former NFL coach sporting a Seamen shirt and cap.
“We’re excited to announce that American football legend, Jon Gruden, will work with us as (an) advisor,” the Seamen wrote on social media. “Gruden will help us to improve our organization in every aspect. He already started to work with our coaching staff.”

His employment with the Seamen is his first position in the NFL after leaving the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021.
The 60-year-old coach offers the Italian squad a plethora of expertise and knowledge. He also enjoyed a great tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This action follows Gruden’s NFL exit after a scandal involving leaked emails that contained disparaging language.
Gruden has stated that he wants to return to coaching despite the setback, and his position with the Seamen is a step in that regard.

Along with his coaching qualifications, Gruden is still facing legal action from the NFL, which is said to have released the emails in order toIn 15 years in the NFL, Gruden’s record on the field was 117–112. He won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to cap off the 2002 season, as Milano pointed out.
The 17-team European League of Football was founded in November 2020 and consists of clubs from nine different countries in continental Europe.
The Milano Seamen, who had a 2-10 record at the end of their first ELF season, are preparing for a new beginning in 2024.
Known as “the only Italian team” in the league, the Seamen have a dedicated fan base and a promising lineup.
