Jets’ Sauce Gardner Won’t Forget Who ‘Jessica Alba’ Is, As She Is Embodied On His New Cleats

The shame of not knowing who Jessica Alba was is something Sauce Gardner cannot outrun.

The Jets wide receiver met Alba, who also had courtside tickets, while watching a Knicks playoff game with quarterback Aaron Rodgers earlier this month.

Gardner, 22, was criticized by Rodgers, 39, for being unaware of Alba’s fame, and the actress piled on on social media a few days later.

Jets’ Sauce Gardner Won’t Forget Who ‘Jessica Alba’ Is, As She Is Embodied On His New Cleats

Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets will never forget Jessica Alba because only a few weeks after they met at a Knicks game and he didn’t know who she was, he got his hands on a pair of personalized cleats with her face all over them!

“When we were getting seated, [Rodgers] was just picking on me a little bit for being young,” Gardner said at a press conference in early May. “We’re about to sit by, what’s her name? he said as we were getting seated. ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba,’ and I’m just like ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ And he just looked at me, he looked at me like I’m crazy.”

When Alba watched the video, she reacted.

“Lol,” tweeted Alba. “I totally see how this kid Sauce got his name, he said to my girl [actress Lizzy Mathis] ‘How can I get caught up when I’m the catch.’

“My guy @saucegardner didn’t ask for these but it had to be done 😂 here’s to new friendships! #jessicealba #storm #honey #nyjets,” shoe artist Mike Jordan shared on Instagram.

Jordan told TMZ, “I wanted to do something fun. “I hope Jessica likes them, too.”

Jordan adorned one of the Nike Vapor spikes with a picture of Alba from her film “Honey.” On the other hand, he incorporated Alba’s Susan Storm character from the “Fantastic Four.”
