Jets Sauce Gardner Slams Former Teammate Mecole Hardman For Game Plan Leaks

Reacting to a 2013 post from Hardman that read, “People say don’t snitch? Ion see it like that . ! If your life is on the line I’m telling on everybody .. !” Gardner wrote, “Lol.”

Hardman, whose time with the Jets ended before the 2023 season began, angered his former colleagues this week when he attacked Gang Green in an interview with “The Pivot Podcast.”

“You just got a new [offensive] coaching staff that came in and there’s no standard there. Everybody does what they want to do,” said Hardman, who signed a one-year deal with the Jets last offseason.

“Granted, the defense has more of a stabilized standard with the coaching staff on that side, so the defense has a standard.

“But the offense is just like, ‘We’ll just figure it out. It’s Aaron’s show. Let Aaron do what Aaron does.’ Then when Aaron goes down, it’s like, we don’t know what to do.”

Mecole Hardman was signed by the Jets in March of last year as a free agent, but he left the organization after a dismal performance.

Later, reports surfaced indicating that Hardman, frustrated with his little role, disclosed the Jets’ game plans to their opponents, the Eagles.

This led to a falling out between Hardman and star cornerback Sauce Gardner, which resulted in Gardner accusing Hardman in public.

An earlier tweet from Hardman that Gardner rediscovered indicated that Hardman would not hesitate to speak up if someone’s life was in danger. This served as a counterpoint to Gardner’s accusations.

Prior to the 2023 season, Hardman signed with the Jets, but he only appeared in five games before being dealt to Kansas City, where he spent his first four years as a player.

Despite having only three targets in five games for New York, he was ultimately responsible for the Chiefs’ game-winning touchdown throw in their Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Notably, he also made an appearance on ESPN’s Ryan Clark’s The Pivot podcast, when he claimed to be “so checked out” while playing for the Jets and pleaded with the Chiefs to “come get me.”

Morstead, 37, also posted a cryptic message without addressing Hardman by name.

“Be careful getting information from disgruntled former employees. Getting beat out by a rookie free agent after being guaranteed millions of dollars is tough to deal with,” Morstead began, referring to rookie wide receiver Xavier Gipson.

“Entitlement is a killer of opportunity. You have to earn it every year.
