Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers Calls Out Former Teammate : “Laying around getting fat”

After completing a game-changing deal for Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets now have a new franchise quarterback in charge. Although he still gets along well with a lot of individuals at the Green Bay Packers, including his pal David Bakhtiari, the quarterback couldn’t resist making fun of his former offensive tackle on Wednesday.

Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers Calls Out Former Teammate David Bakhtiari: “Laying around getting fat”

Bakhtiari, who was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, has played for the team his whole career, much like Rodgers (at least before his trade to the New York Jets).

After a shootaround at Proactive Sports Performance, a training and conditioning centre just west of Los Angeles, Rodgers shared an Instagram story of himself with a bunch of players.

Rodgers’ alleged absence from the minicamp for his new club was criticized by Bakhtiari:
“Too busy training and not posing for a photo”

To which Rodgers retorted: “Probably laying around getting fat”

Jordan Love will now serve as the Packers’ starting quarterback after Aaron Rodgers left the team. Love, 24, was selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, although he has only made one start so far.

The Jets and Aaron Rodgers are anticipated to be Super Bowl candidates despite having the NFL’s longest postseason drought, having failed to make the playoffs since the 2010 campaign.
