The action that happened right before the terrifying fear was a frenzied goal line fight as the Jets tried to cram the puck into the net.

In the altercation, Barron was pushed over from behind and fell awkwardly onto the opponent’s razor-sharp skate blade.

After the event, there was a lot of worry since Barron’s face was slashed and was profusely bleeding. He was treated for his injury and promptly transported out of the tunnel.

The 24-year-old striker was involved in a scrum in front of the Vegas goal and sustained a gash to his forehead from a skate.

Barron returned to the game halfway through the second period despite the seriousness of his injury, sporting a complete cage and more than 75 stitches. Many NHL fans were amazed by his rapid comeback to the game.

However, the 24-year-old center didn’t appear to care about any of this. When asked what went through his mind when he was cut during the game, he replied that he was considering whether the Jets scored.

“I was trying to figure out if the puck went in because it was pretty close,” Barron told reporters. “I saw the skate coming. It was an unlucky play. The first thought was that I could see out of the [right] eye was the main thing.”

Barron was unfortunate since the Jets failed to score on that play. But they did go on to win 5-1.

Barron’s comeback boosted the squad, according to Jets coach Rick Bowness, who stated this after the game.

“I think more his presence coming back because we all realized how bad it was, and that gave everyone a big boost,” he said.
