Jerry Jones & Robert Kraft Got Into A Heated Argument At Owners Meeting
Tuesday’s NFL owner’s meeting in New York decided to start contract talks with commissioner Roger Goodell. But before that vote, Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft, two of the most recognised and influential owners, got into a rather heated argument.
Jerry Jones & Robert Kraft Got Into A Heated Argument
The NFL’s ownership structure is broken. Everything is out of control because billionaires are fighting and arguing openly in the media. Just as the annual ownership meeting is getting started, it becomes apparent that we need a mechanism to resolve these disagreements without the thorniness of democracy. We require solitary combat.

This week, there was more owner hostility. Jerry Jones has long objected to Roger Goodell’s compensation, but he hasn’t been able to persuade the other owners to change their minds significantly. Jones was the lone vote against discussing a new contract for Goodell on Tuesday, and he walked over to Kraft after the voting was over.
The sources said Kraft joined the overwhelming majority in strong support for the measure, with Jones the lone dissenter in the owners-only session, eventually telling Kraft, “Don’t f— with me.”
Kraft replied, “Excuse me?”
“Don’t mess with me,” Jerry Jones said.
The measure then passed, sources said.

The New York Times reported that Goodell’s total compensation over a two-year period from 2020 to 2021 was nearly $128 million.
Jerry Jones is worried that Goodell’s planned bonus pool triggers in a new deal won’t be tied to a rigid set of financial goals and measures without a more thorough assessment, according to sources. Jones has already voiced his disapproval of Goodell, 63, signing a new contract, and according to sources, his objection hasn’t changed: the manner in which Goodell is compensated.

This one is rough. On the one hand, you have Jerry Jones, who is without a doubt the dirtiest combatant in the NFL, and Kraft, who is a switchblade expert. Who would win in this situation is really up for debate because both sides want to fight it out and cause harm. For this one, nobody is staying within reach.
