Jason Kelce Said, “I gotta go take a s—t right now” While Proposing His Wife For Marriage

Given the circumstances, it might have been simpler for Jason Kelce’s plan to fail.

During a recent appearance on “New Heights,” the podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason’s wife Kylie joined the discussion and shared amusing behind-the-scenes information about their engagement.

One day, while Jason and Kylie were leaving her parents’ home, Jason tried to think of a sneaky method to enter the home and ask her parents for their consent before popping the question.

“I went into the house…and asked [her parents] for Kylie’s hand in marriage,” Jason said.

“I was trying to do this, because I wanted to get it done before training camp and be engaged. So there were some scheduling reasons,” he added. “I couldn’t figure out how to inconspicuously go into the house…I said, Ky, I’m sorry, I gotta go take a s—t right now.”

Although Kylie didn’t have any suspicions, she was keeping an eye on the time.

“I was like ‘Great, go in, because we’re not turning back around,’” Kylie chimed in. “Because at this point, we were visiting my parents, we lived 30 minutes away from where they lived, and we had already gotten the dog in the car.”

Kylie soon became aware that something was wrong.

“He went inside, he was only in there for maybe two minutes, and I said, ‘Jason, go back in there, and go to the bathroom. I know you didn’t just go in there and take a s—t, it usually takes you 20 minutes, that was not long enough, and we are not turning around.’

“And then he said, ‘I know this isn’t the most romantic way to do this, but can you get out of the car?’”

“At least you did it, bud. Hats off,” Travis added after the story.
