Jared Goff and Fiancé Christen Harper Digest a Wholesome Destination Before the Detroit Lions Initiate the Camp

Jared Goff, the quarterback for the Lions, and Christen Harper, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, have had a wonderful summer so far.
Quarterback Jared Goff is a vital piece of the puzzle for the Detroit #Lions.
According to the SI sportsbook, Goff has +3300 odds to take home the MVP award this year.

“I think we talked about Jared early on in the season, and he had some interceptions that, I mean, he grimaces at when we watch the tape right now. And, I think the recognition that, ‘Hey, this is a problem, and we have to get this corrected,’ all these guys came through,” Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson said. “The same thing happened short yardage for us early in the season. We were the 31st-ranked team the first half of the season in short yardage. We brought it to their attention, they took a lot of pride in getting it fixed and we ended the season on a high note, in terms of our short-yardage percentage. So, I think any time that we have a problem, just bringing it up and the acknowledgement, ‘Hey, we have to get this fixed. All hands on deck to get this fixed,’ and we have seen results in every facet that we have touched that way.”

In a post dated Thursday, the model, 30, said, “Cooking and eating and drinking and eating.”
According to Harper’s Instagram photos, the long-term couple recently visited Italy, where they relaxed on the beach in Capri and attended cookery classes in Amalfi.

In a different post, Goff, 28, is also visible seated in a chair and gazing out towards the water.

About a year has passed since Goff and Harper got engaged on a picturesque beach.

Harper exclaimed, “6.16.22: The best night of my life.”

The pair, who have been linked since 2019, is anticipated to wed in the summer of 2020.

As training camp approaches in July, Goff and Harper are making the most of their downtime.

After a sensational trade in January 2021, in which the Lions acquired Goff from the Rams and gained Matthew Stafford in exchange, the quarterback is starting his third season in Detroit.

On her “Morning After” podcast earlier this month, Stafford’s wife Kelly heard Harper describe the moment that changed her life.

“I remember hearing Detroit and I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ I’ve never been there, and of course, I’ve never been to Michigan either, and so I had never heard a single positive thing about Detroit, and so I was really not sure what we were getting ourselves into,” Harper recalled.

“And then of course you get there and I’m like, ‘This place is amazing.’”

In his second season in Detroit, Jared Goff, who was originally selected first overall by the Rams in 2016, flourished, throwing for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns against seven interceptions.

Third-year Lions coach Dan Campbell, who recently commented that the quarterback is “better” in Detroit than he was in Los Angeles, has continued to be impressed with him.

“I think what you’re seeing is a guy who just put his head down and went back to work, worked on what he could, tried to improve on what he could,” Campbell said. “He’s a better quarterback than he was [in Los Angeles], in my opinion, because he can do more things. He’s mentally on it.”

On Thursday, September 7, the Lions, who went 9-8 last year, take on the Chiefs, who are the defending Super Bowl champions.
