Jared Carrabis Indirectly Calls Out Gerrit Cole’s Rude Reaction Towards His Teammate’s Mistake

During the Yankees’ victory against the Rangers on Thursday night, the outfielder, Aaron Hicks who has had trouble both at the plate and in the field this season, looked to lose a ball in the spotlight. Well, Gerrit Cole did not handle it well!

Jared Carrabis Indirectly Calls Out Gerrit Cole’s Rude Reaction Towards His Teammate Aaron Hicks

In the bottom of the third inning, Texas’ Marcus Semien hit a ball, and Hicks, who has a slugging percentage of.147 going into Friday, dived to try to catch it. However, he abruptly yanked his glove away from the ball, allowing it to sail by him as he fell to the ground.

When Hicks made the error, the YES Network cameras then cut to pitcher Gerrit Cole, who was currently pitching a shutout and appeared visibly frustrated.

The move Cole made during a recent game did not please onlookers.

As is customary for him, MLB pundit Jared Carrabis used sarcasm to criticize Cole’s antics. He published a video in which he listed out a number of things Cole had going for him while professing not to believe them.

“Some people are gonna call Gerrit Cole a horrible teammate and a whiny, entitled bitch for reacting like this. I know I won’t do that. That’s not how I personally feel. But I know some folks certainly will feel that way and will say those things. Not me.” Jared Carrabi

Cole, though, confided in his teammates following the game.

Cole claimed, “[My confidence] comes from my teammates. “It results from my planning. And it results from simply being in a position to successfully execute many pitches. Naturally, having a three-run lead enables us to attack the strike zone. Most of the time, we just played excellent baseball. It is something you use as a pitcher to feed off of.

With Cole earning his sixth victory of the year, the Yankees managed to hold on and win the game 4-2.

“Everyone always wants to rip Aaron Boone. This isn’t Aaron Boone’s fault…who put this team together?”
