Jalen Brunson Yet to Commit a Turnover as New York Knicks Blow Out Detroit Pistons at Home

The New York Knicks have been fast and efficient this season. Tom Thibodeau’s team put those promises made throughout training camp to crank up the tempo in order to improve the offense from the previous year into reality with a 130-106 drubbing of the Pistons in the home opener. Perhaps one day Jalen Brunson will be able to reflect on the roars from a sold-out crowd that served as his formal entrance inside Madison Square Garden. not now.

Brunson came to New York not for applause but for victories. Jalen Brunson has demonstrated his ability to score, pass the ball, and improve those around him in only 64 minutes as a Knick. The most amazing number, though, has a zero next to it: turnovers.

With the ball constantly moving and the scoring equally distributed, the Knicks (1-1), especially while the reserves were on the floor, shot 53%. In the second quarter, the Pistons could have warmed up the bus.

“The playmaking was great. When you play the game that way, the game is easy for everyone,” Thibodeau said.

Immanuel Quickley recovered from a difficult start with 20 points, and Brunson scored 17 points in his first home game with his new team as the Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons 130-106 on Friday night to earn their first victory of the year. In his Knicks home debut, Jalen Brunson, Rick’s son, ended with 17 points and six assists, but the highlight was diving for a loose ball into the crowd.
