I’m Josh – always eating – Josh Hart tries to sneak pizza, gets caught with mouth full, gets called out by Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson accepted responsibility for the Knicks’ loss in the Eastern Conference playoffs opener and believed he needed to play better in Game 2.

Jalen Brunson Lives Up To All The Expectations, Leads Knicks In Game 2

With a 111-105 victory on Tuesday night, the New York Knicks evened the Eastern Conference semifinal series at one game each after Jalen Brunson scored 30 points and helped lead the run the Miami Heat needed to defeat a team missing Jimmy Butler.

Again having trouble with his shot and this time dealing with a painful right ankle, Brunson told himself he had to push through it.

He explained that he “just kind of had to find a way to be mentally tough.” “Go ahead and carry it out.”

Following their 111-105 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Knicks guard joined Jalen Brunson at the press conference once more.

And while he awaited a question to be posed to him, Hart took a bite of pizza, only to hear Brunson sarcastically interrupt: “Finished chewing?” This follows Hart’s earlier devouring of wings.

He succeeded in bringing New York back into the series at a tie.

“That’s who he is, great leader, great toughness,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “He never disappoints you. Sometimes we can fall short, but there’s no quit in him. Never quits on a play. So can’t say enough about that.”

Julius Randle returned from a sprained left ankle that sidelined him in Game 1 with 25 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, and RJ Barrett scored 16 of his 24 points in the first quarter for the No. 5-seeded Knicks. Josh Hart had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists for the game.

It was hell,” he said. “Just every day around the clock, trying to get my body right. I don’t have a problem doing the work, mentally it’s a grind, though. But I just want to make myself available to the team … just happy that I was able to be out there and contribute and help us get a win.”

“It was a hard-fought game,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “I thought we competed really well in the second half,” We had a lot of guys step up and play really well.”

“It was a team win,” Julius Randle said, “that’s for sure.”

The Garden was transformed to a lifeless dump of sorrow over the first 42 minutes of Game 2 thanks to the Heat’s dominance.

The Knicks went through a string of steamy moments in the third and fourth quarters, but Jalen Brunson dragged them through them while tending to his own ailing ankle. Later, he was joined by Josh Hart, his twin from Villanova, and Knicksanova took them all the way to the finish line.

Brunson and Hart combined to score 20 of the Knicks’ final 24 points after that 3-pointer. Brunson made nine of his final 13 attempts and finished with 30, going 6-for-10 from three-point range. Hart was outstanding with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, and a plus-16.
